Ambassador Ganbat Damba presented his Letters of Credence

Mr. Ganbat Damba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Federal Republic of Germany, presented his Letters of Credence to the Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on September 20th, 2017.

After the presentation of the Credentials, the Federal President then invited Ambassador Ganbat Damba for a private meeting in which the Ambassador expressed his readiness to further deepen traditional friendly relations and the comprehensive partnership cooperation between Mongolia and Germany. Moreover, he stated that regular high-level bilateral visits and discussions in recent years have been an important factor in broadening cooperation between the two countries and it is important to enrich the bilateral cooperation with more trade and economic values.

Federal President F-W. Steinmeier welcomed the picture of a horse that was gifted to him when he paid an official visit to Mongolia as the Federal Foreign Minister in 2014 and an invitation for him to visit Mongolian again in the capacity of the Federal President.

Dr. Markus Ederer, State Secretary at the Federal Foreign Ministry, Mr. Thomas Bagger, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the President’s Office and Dr. Klaus Vietze, Head of the Asian Division at the President’s Office from the German side as well as diplomats from the Mongolian embassy and family members of the Ambassador were present at the ceremony for the presentation of Credentials.
